Our progressive Information Technology team has an exciting opportunity for an Integration Specialist to join our Applications and Development team. You will work closely with the business and software vendors to architect, implement, enhance and maintain enterprise integration solutions that enable Council to deliver high-quality services to our community.
Using your extensive experience in enterprise system integration and API management, you will architect and build solutions that are secure, scalable, and future-focused. You will also act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on integration best practices while coaching and supporting your IT colleagues to ensure successful business outcomes.
Your key focus areas are:
- Act as the subject matter expert for systems integration and provide advice and support to the Coordinator Applications and Development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Design, build, test, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot integration solutions across Council’s integration platforms.
- Establish and maintain integration standards, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistent and sustainable solutions.
- Develop new techniques to integrate applications, automate workflows, and validate data integrity.
- Coach and mentor IT team members in integration best practice design and implementation.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional with a passion for creating seamless system integrations that drive efficiency and innovation. You combine deep technical knowledge with robust collaboration skills, enabling you to work across multiple systems and teams to deliver results.
Specifically, you will bring:
- Degree-level qualifications in Computer Science or a related field and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting, implementing, managing, and maintaining enterprise-level integration platforms or middleware solutions.
- Strong integration development background with experience in enterprise integration platforms such as Microsoft Azure Integration Services, Boomi, or Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate/RPA).
- Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL preferred) and extensive experience delivering complex API-led integration projects.
- Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON and XML-based web service APIs and integration design principles.

- Competitive salary from $101,090 – $117,483 plus 12% superannuation
