We are seeking a capable and delivery-focused Project Engineer / Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects across regional Queensland.
This role is embedded within contractor delivery teams, providing hands-on involvement in project execution, commercial performance, and program outcomes. You will take ownership of key work packages and contribute directly to project success.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Managing work packages and coordinating subcontractors
* Contributing to program development and short-term planning
* Supporting cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
* Administering contracts and preparing variations
* Engaging with clients and key stakeholders
* Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
This is a hands-on position suited to engineers who take ownership and drive outcomes on-site.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* 4–8+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure project delivery
* Experience working within contractor environments
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Sound engineering judgement and structured decision-making ability
* Commercial awareness with disciplined reporting practices
Qualifications & Registration
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* RPEQ (or eligibility to obtain) is highly regarded
Highly Regarded Experience
* Experience on DTMR projects
* End-to-end subdivision project delivery
* Exposure to regional or remote project environments
