**About the Role**
This **part time prospect** will mean you are a key member of the HR team and you will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner. You will drive compliance with any Federal and or State awards and or legislation in regard to timing and amounts of employee payments/PAYG, State Payroll Tax and Superannuation Guarantee Legislation. You know the importance of accurate and timely payment of employees in accordance with employment conditions of the Canon group and you know how to achieve great outcomes for your stakeholders.
**Scope of the role includes**:
- Supporting the Payroll Manager to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time
- Processing and payment of Terminations
- Maintaining and updating employees' data
- Produce standard and ad hoc reports as required
- Answering payroll queries and monitoring payroll in-box
- Processing of any pay adjustments as required
- Ensure correct award interpretation and processing.
- Manage payment of payroll deductions including Garnishees and Child Support
- Assist with any other ad hoc activities as necessary.
**About you**
You are an experienced payroll officer with 3+ Years experience of payroll processing. Ideally you'll have exposure to AU and NZ payroll, but more important is your excellent attention to detail and ability to learn. You have sound IT skills along including the Microsoft suite of products and SAP Success Factors. You are a great communicator who likes to look for solutions and ways to improve processes. You must be able to work on Australian Times Zones and you'll be a part of a friendly and supportive team based in Australia and New Zealand.
