2. Provide leadership through primary & secondary consults & clinical supervision to junior staff
Barwon Health’s Adult Continuing Care Services (CCS) provides community supports to people aged between 16 and 65 years, experiencing serious mental health needs.
Our service delivery includes comprehensive crisis assessment, crisis management and treatment, case management of complex issues and mobile outreach. We have community case teams situated in five locations across the Barwon region ranging from Corio and Geelong West to Bellarine, Torquay & Colac. Each team is situated in a community health centre that is close to the city centres, beaches or local community hubs.
About you
3. Formal professionally recognised qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Clinical/Forensic/Neuro Psychology
4. Current Victorian Drivers Licence
5. 5 years post graduate mental health experience
6. Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster as per operational needs – 0830-1700hrs (Mon-Fri), 1130-2000 (weekday evening shifts) and 1030-1900 (public holidays/weekends)
7. A demonstrated level of advanced clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of persons with mental health disorders in a community setting (desirable)
About the role
As the successful applicant you will;
8. Provide high quality clinical care in the provision of mental health drug and alcohol treatment, for consumers in the Barwon Region
9. Provide high quality clinical, professional and line management supervision for clinical staff within the MHDAS CCS Team
10. Actively contribute to the leadership of CCS and relevant service development initiatives with emphasis on quality improvement in CCS’s
