The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Electrical Estimator to join our advanced manufacturing team, specialising in low- voltage switchboards & motor control centres (MCC's). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality engineered solutions within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for LV switchboards, MCCs, and associated electrical systems
* Interpret drawings, specifications, and client documentation to develop scopes, costings, and material take-offs
* Assess tender viability, identifying risks, opportunities, and cost drivers
* Develop construction methodologies and contribute to design reviews
* Compile tender submissions and support post-tender negotiations
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing, confirm lead times, and secure commitments
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure constructability and smooth project handover
* Conduct site inspections and attend client/stakeholder meetings as required
* Support project delivery with clarifications and assist with variation pricing
* Monitor project budgets and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and improved accuracy
* Contribute to continuous improvement and help position the business to secure new work
* Maintain tender documentation, bid files, and accurate supplier/client records
* Support CRM updates, business development activities, and internal reporting
What you bring to CE Group

You will have:
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology, Engineering, or other relevant qualification
* Minimum 5 years' estimating experience, ideally within electrical or construction industries
* Proven experience estimating electrical works, preferably within switchboard manufacturing or industrial environments
* Strong technical knowledge of LV switchboards, components, and applicable Australian Standards
* Demonstrated ability to interpret Scope of Works, drawings, and technical documentation
* Sound understanding (or ability to quickly acquire) knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act and relevant regulations
* Experience with estimating software (ConEst IntelliBid highly regarded)
* High level of computer literacy
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
* Detail-focused with strong commercial awareness, balancing accuracy, risk, and margin
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a delivery-focused team
