About the role
CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is entering an exciting phase of growth and development. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Gardening and Maintenance Team Member to upkeep the outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas. This role ensures that grounds are healthy, clean, safe, through routine maintenance and seasonal care, including minor maintenance.
This hands-on role is critical to ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services in accordance with safety standards and operational requirements.
Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as you'll be engaging with vulnerable individuals within the community, external contractors, and CatholicCare teams in a supportive and professional environment.
Location: Based in Wyong, travel across Northern Sydney and the Central Coast required
Classification: Permanent Full Time
Days: Monday to Friday
Times: 7:30am to 3:30pm - After hours and emergency support work may occasionally be required
Pay:$25 to $31per hour + Super + Salary Packaging = more take-home pay
Duties
* Performing lawn mowing, pruning, planting, and weed control.
* Minor tree maintenance and working with an arborist for more complex tree management.
* Identify plant diseases, stress and general health of plants, trees and turf.
* Undertake minor maintenance tasks to ensure compliance and safety.
* Maintaining and ensuring equipment is kept in a safe working order and correctly operated.
* Complete job-related documentation promptly and professionally.
Requirements
* 2 years' experience or qualification in gardening, horticulture, landscape or maintenance related discipline.
* Working with Children's Check and a NDIS Worker Check.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to an insured vehicle.
