From macroeconomic forecasts to individual stock analysis, our team develops tools and insights to help shape investment strategies for clients and the firm. Our analysts and associates work on client-focused research across equity, fixed income, currency, and commodities markets, mining big data to identify market-changing insights. You'll be part of a team that is curious, creative, analytical, and passionate about market research.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
1. Support senior Writing Analyst in analyzing individual companies and equities, including publishing reports, initiating sales calls, and marketing investment opinions.
2. Engage in various research projects, analyzing market share, macro trends, cross-company analysis, and assessing emerging business models, collaborating with regional and macro teams.
3. Produce reports summarizing findings and predictions, manage sector news flow, and contribute to overall sector views.
4. Develop financial models and interpret data related to market, economic, and political events.
5. Build relationships and communicate regularly with the equities sales force, traders, clients, and company management.
6. Enhance technical and soft skills as a key junior team member.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
* Relevant equity research experience, covering sell-side or buy-side sectors related to ANZ Banks preferred.
* CA/CFA qualification and a master's degree in finance or economics.
* Strong understanding of the ANZ Banks sectors and macroeconomy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Strong modeling skills and a solid grounding in accounting and financial fundamentals.
* Highly analytical thinker and writer.
* Ability to respond quickly to changing situations.
* Strong client relationship management skills.
* Good time management and prioritization skills are desirable.
