Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School (CHS) was opened in 2006 and offers secondary courses from Year 7 to 10. The school has over 850 students from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, fostering a vibrant and collaborative culture.
The school's committed student services team ensures excellent pastoral care and monitoring of students, with a dedicated student services coordinator and officer working closely with each year group. Dynamic teaching staff provide engaging delivery of main curriculum areas and a range of subjects and programs catering to students' interests and needs.
The Role
As a cleaner, you will be responsible for internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other general cleaning tasks. You will also carry out external cleaning duties such as cleaning verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, and general cleaning duties. During vacation periods, you will undertake the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, and pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas.
In this role, you should have excellent attention to detail, be able to work well individually and as part of a team, be organised, honest, reliable, punctual, and possess excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.
