Seeking Auditors to work within either Financial Audit Services (FAS), focused on financial statement audits, financial management enhancement, and reporting to Parliament; or Performance Audit Services (PAS), concentrating on performance, compliance, and investigative audits to improve government efficiency and accountability, with consideration given to applicant skills and preferences for both areas.

About the roles: Applicants will be considered for positions in Financial Audit Services (FAS) and Performance Audit Services (PAS). We will consider your skills and preferences for both business units.
Financial Audit Services FAS delivers the Office's financial audit program. This unit does:
audits of the financial statements of the Treasurer and of all State entities, grant acquittal audits and other financial attest audits. projects to enhance confidence in financial management and reporting by State entities. reports to Parliament on matters arising from audits, analysis of financial results and other activities in accordance with relevant legislation. Auditors in FAS support this activity.
Performance Audit Services PAS delivers performance audits, compliance audits and investigations. These assess the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of Government programs. We examine whether Government agencies are compliant with relevant legislation, conducted their work in a transparent and accountable manner. We report to Parliament on our findings and make recommendations to agencies on how they can improve their work. This has a significant impact in shaping public administration.
Auditors in PAS support this activity.
Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.
Duties Assists with audits and supports teams to deliver audits within agreed cost, time and quality standards. Utilises information technology and computer systems to complete audit work, analyse data and prepare reports. Where required, effectively supervise team members including providing clear instructions, timely review of work completed and provision of constructive feedback. Assists with the collection and analysis of evidence and data. Takes interview notes and maintains working papers (in accordance with Office policy and relevant standards) to record evidence of audit work. Maintains regular and professional relationships with personnel in organisations under review. Assists in preparing elements of draft reports on the outcomes of audits for discussion with clients and internal review prior to tabling in Parliament; and supports the process of tabling reports including preparing briefings and presentations. Contributes to team cohesiveness and maintains professional and collaborative relationships within the Office. Undertakes other relevant duties as directed. Performance is measured against Key Performance Indicators developed and agreed to in annual performance plans.

Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, or ongoing attainment of such a qualification. Driver's licence.
