Broken Hill City Council is seeking a Library Assistant to be an advocate for library services and recognise the importance of providing spaces for community members and visitors to come together in both a learning and social workplace. The position incumbent will embrace the changes in technology and how this impacts library services but hold a passion for continuing hard copy reading material.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated employee that has well-developed customer relations and administration skills. The successful candidates will have proven communication skills, relevant work experience and be able to work effectively in a team and independently as required.
Reporting directly to the Library Manager, you will support Broken Hill City Council to provide exceptional customer service and support all aspects of library operations. The Library currently operates 6 days a week and the staff working hours are from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays and 10.00 am to 1.00 pm on Saturdays. You will be required to work shifts within these operational hours.
The Library team plays a key role in our community and we require a committed person who can contribute to the ongoing operations of the Library service. Join us and make a difference to our community.
