We're seeking a motivated Estimator to join our Kwinana-based team. This full-time, permanent position reports directly to the General Manager and will play a key role in Aaro's continued growth.
Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and timely estimates, proposals, and tenders.
* Collaborate with project managers and internal departments to gather necessary information.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
* Prepare and distribute work packages to suppliers for quoted pricing.
* Incorporate financial and commercial requirements into estimates as approved during the tender review process.
* Determine material quantities and order as required before contract commencement.
* Attend site inspections and client meetings as required.
* Prepare and manage client clarifications post-tender submission.
* Track and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, comparing actuals against estimates.
* Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on estimates, cost analyses, and key project considerations.
* Maintain internal registers and prepare reports with up-to-date information.
* Maintain Expert Estimator software for estimating, job costing, and surveying activities.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating and scheduling practices.
* Exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to hit the ground running.
Skills & Experience
* Must have pipeline installation, rehabilitation, and maintenance estimating experience.
* Civil works and Micro Tunnelling estimating experience – highly desirable.
* Proficiency in computer systems and digital platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite – essential.
* Experience with Expert Estimator – highly desirable.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to identify priorities, seek clarification when needed, and set realistic expectations to manage tasks effectively.
* Flexible and adaptable to changes in business needs.

* Hungry – self-motivated and diligent in achieving goals.
