ABOUT THE COMPANY
Brief role intro
THE OPPORTUNITY
Provide episodic clinical support to surgeons adopting and advancing their use of presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses (PCIOLs). This is a field based, HCP facing role that includes onboarding support for surgeons and their surgical teams, ensuring a smooth integration of PCIOLs into their practice. Additionally, offer responsive, referral-based support to address unexpected challenges or
provide expert guidance, enabling customers to confidently manage the transition to PCIOL technology and deliver optimal patient outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and execution of on-boarding support / accreditation for surgeons and surgical teams initiating PCIOL use, in partnership with the sales team and customers.
- Reactively support surgeon and surgical team's confidence & knowledge as required to adequately manage the transition to PCIOLs, optimize patient outcomes and address unanticipated outcomes.
- Partner with the Refractive Specialist and sales team members to identify customers needing additional clinical support, and to respond to situations when/as required, prioritizing support as required.
- Oversee registrar education program including the science of lens technology and Toric / PCIOL /
Phaco confidence development programs in / with teaching facilities.
- Provide additional support for internal team training as required by the Professional Education Manager.
- Customer education support as required by the Professional Education Manager.
- Speed of responsiveness to customer needs - Positive post customer interaction feedback (standard questionnaire to be established) & Certification goals established and consistently achieved (ASSUMPTION: certification established during the role)
**Qualifications**:
ABOUT YOU
- Preferred education: Orthoptics or Optometry qualification.
- Required Industry Experience: Extensive experience in ophthalmology practice, particularly in supporting the use of presbyopia correcting technology.
- 5+ years Ophthalmology and/or Optometry essential.
- Previous experience in education or sales may be beneficial.
