This is a rare opportunity for a senior sales professional to own something from the ground up, building a greenfield market with the backing of a large, well-resourced global business behind them.
The Role
Reporting to the Global Product and Sales Director, you will take full ownership of enterprise sales execution for a new SaaS product across the Australian AEC market. This is an individual contributor role designed for a seasoned hunter who thrives in ambiguity and is energised by the challenge of creating demand where little currently exists.
The product is early-stage and largely unproven in-market. There are limited reference customers, evolving processes, and significant opportunity to shape how the product is positioned, sold and adopted. This is a long-term growth journey and will suit someone who is motivated by building something meaningful over time, not someone seeking a mature, process-heavy sales environment with strong brand pull.
You will be the face of this product in the market, acting as an evangelist, strategic relationship builder and pipeline generator all at once.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution and Territory Development
* Own the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle for the new product across Australia.
* Develop and execute a greenfield territory strategy, with a focus on Tier 2 to 4 AEC organisations.
* Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through direct prospecting, industry relationships, events, roundtables and thought leadership initiatives.
* Maintain accurate forecasting and disciplined opportunity management within CRM.
* Establish early lighthouse customers and validated use cases.
Stakeholder Engagement and Commercial Leadership
* Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across construction, engineering, infrastructure and property development firms.
* Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and influencers, including champions, economic buyers and gatekeepers.
* Deliver compelling executive briefings and strategic workshops that clearly articulate product vision, value and roadmap.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Product, Marketing and Regional Sales Leadership to refine market messaging and positioning.
* Feed structured customer insight back into product development to support continued evolution of the solution.
* Help shape emerging go-to-market and sales processes as the business scales.
About You
You are a high-calibre enterprise sales professional with a genuine hunter mindset and the commercial acumen to match. You are comfortable selling vision-led, roadmap-driven solutions and know how to build momentum over long, complex sales cycles without relying on brand awareness or an established customer base.
You bring a strong sense of personal accountability, high levels of grit and resilience, and the patience to play the long game. You are collaborative by nature, able to influence cross-functional stakeholders internally while projecting executive presence externally.
You will likely demonstrate
* B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in enterprise or mid-market environments.
* Prior experience selling into the AEC industry, or a strong desire to build deep expertise within it.
* Demonstrated success in greenfield territories, new product launches or start-up SaaS environments.
* Proven ability to generate pipeline and close deals without strong brand leverage or extensive reference customers.
* Strong negotiation and commercial acumen, including experience navigating procurement, legal, pricing and enterprise contracting.
* Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex value propositions clearly and persuasively.
