About the Role
We are seeking a Project Geologist to join our Geology team at our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation. This role is ideal for a motivated geologist looking to work across drilling programs, resource modelling, and cross-functional technical projects within an operating mine environment.
You'll play a pivotal role in supporting underground drilling programs, collaborating closely with our mine planning and production teams to ensure high-quality geological inputs into operational decision-making and future resource development.
This position will be offered as a full-time, permanent opportunity based at our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will:
* Plan, coordinate, and execute underground drilling programs (infill and resource extension).
* Conduct core logging, sampling, and QAQC checks to ensure data quality.
* Undertake geological modelling and interpretation of the orebody.
* Liaise with mine planning and production teams to ensure seamless data flow.
* Assist with contractor management and supervision during drilling campaigns.
* Contribute to resource estimation, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
* Provide mentoring and technical support to junior geologists and field teams.
* Maintain accurate and timely geological records and reports.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences.
* Previous experience in an underground production or project geology role (open to strong exploration or resource geos with relevant transferable experience).
* Experience with underground drill design and management, core logging, and QAQC practices.
* Experience in geological wireframing and modelling.
* Competence in geological modelling software (e.g. Leapfrog, Datamine) and AcQuire Database software.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to train up junior members of the team.
* A valid manual Australian drivers licence.
* Strong safety mindset and ability to work autonomously in a remote site environment.
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen.
