Assistant Underwriter – VIC Underwriting Team

We're seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support our VIC Underwriting team across new business, renewals and mid‐term policy changes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a strong underwriting foundation while working closely with brokers and internal stakeholders.
What you'll do
* Support underwriting of new business, renewals and mid‐term alterations
* Review, assess and triage submissions in line with underwriting guidelines and delegated authority
* Provide underwriting, processing and administrative support to Underwriters
* Deliver excellent service to brokers and customers, meeting agreed turnaround times
* Assist in achieving portfolio financial targets including GWP and margins
* Collaborate closely with Distribution, Claims, Pricing, Actuarial and Risk teams
* Ensure compliance with governance, risk and audit requirements
