Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands, within our beautiful Shoreline Facility.
Shoreline is a state-of-the-art Residential Aged Facility situated in a truly unique location, adjacent to the beach and overlooking picturesque Cockburn Sound. The Facility provides resort lifestyle, and quality care and services for up to 238 residents.
As a Kitchen Hand/ Servery Attendant, you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.
A working day will involve:
* Preparing resident's meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
* Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
* Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:
* Enjoys working with the elderly.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
* Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
* Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should possess the following:
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
* Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
* A knowledge of food safety.
* Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
