Job Description
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and EC2, to new product launches that set AWS apart in the industry. As part of UC, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services, including specialized security solutions for customers.
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead large-scale global projects within the region Services organization. The TPM will coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver new workflow features, enhance productivity, and secure devices according to AWS standards. This role involves planning multi-year roadmaps, working closely with Service Teams, Security, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and launch new AWS regions, and managing risks and technical obstacles.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, and excel in problem-solving. Deep understanding of distributed systems, program management, and operational excellence is essential. You should be passionate about customer experience and innovative region build methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure safety, security, and availability of data center operations.
* Mentor and develop team members and indirect reports.
* Promote team learning, technical and soft skills development.
* Share operational best practices regionally and globally.
A Day in the Life
* Gather requirements, define specifications, and develop project milestones.
* Assess risks, manage progress, and resolve bottlenecks.
* Influence stakeholders to drive project deliverables.
* Manage repair requests and respond to high-severity events.
* Present updates to senior leadership and create analytics dashboards.
* Travel globally as needed to support initiatives.

Qualifications
Basic:
* 5+ years in technical product or program management.
* Experience working directly with engineering teams.
* Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs, processes, and release schedules.
Preferred:
* Experience with project scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
* Experience defining KPIs and reporting to senior leadership.
