Residential Building Administrator

This full-time position (typically from 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday) begins as partially remote, work-from-home & working from an office, with a transition to our new office later in the year.

What You'll Be Doing
* Contract Administration: Accurately draft and complete HIA building contracts and specifications in close collaboration with the Sales team.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Work collaboratively with draftspersons, engineers, and financial approvers to ensure all necessary documents and approvals are obtained for Council submission.
* Job Progress Tracking: Efficiently update Project Progress Sheets and enter data into G.J. Software, ensuring transparent information sharing across the team.
* Construction Support: Partner with the construction team to effectively administer job variations and process progress claims during the building phase.
* Customer Interaction: Maintain a high standard of professional courtesy and empathy when greeting customers, ensuring they feel supported as part of the G.J. family.
* Handover & Maintenance: Coordinate with the broader team to manage handover proceedings and administer post-handover maintenance reporting
What You'll Bring
* Industry Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in a construction administration role.
* Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the home building process, including the ability to read plans and interpret contracts.
* Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to build professional relationships with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Quick Learner: A proven ability to quickly learn new information and adapt to new areas of work.
* Attention to Detail: Proven accuracy in administrative tasks with a commitment to high-quality work.
* Software Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM software is an advantage.
* Core Requirements: A current Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
