Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established industry leaders, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their growing team, based in Artarmon 2064. This is a 1 month temporary position (subject to extension/permanency). The successful candidate must have exposure in end-to-end accounts payable duties alongside working with backlogs.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Manager:
Your duties include:
* Full-function accounts payable, from invoice processing to payment runs
* Managing and reconciling supplier accounts
* Processing backlog invoices efficiently and accurately
* Handling supplier queries and ensuring timely issue resolution
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
* Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
* Working collaboratively within the finance team and liaising with internal stakeholders
* Assisting the accounts receivable team when required
* Any other reasonable duties that may be required
Ideal Profile:
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Payable duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:
* Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Previous experience in bulk invoice processing and dealing with backlogs
* Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
* Experience with large ERP systems - Sage software is highly preferred but not mandatory
Benefits:
* $35 - $42 + Super (based on experience) (competitive salary once gone permanent)
