About the role
This role is split between the GV Health Diabetes and Community Health programs
Within the Diabetes program the grade 2 podiatrist will work between inpatients and the High Risk Foot Clinic. The Podiatrist will ensure that interventions chosen are effective and based on best available evidence. The Podiatrist will liaise closely with other key stakeholders across a range of programs and service areas within GV Health and externally to form collaborative partnerships to support service provision. They will provide assessment and management of vascular, neurological, dermatological, biomechanical, and infection-related foot problems to clients of all ages.
Within Community health the Podiatrist is responsible for providing assessment, treatment/management and advice to both paediatric and adult consumers presenting with a range of biomechanical, vascular, cutaneous, nail, diabetic and infection-related foot problems. Services are primarily provided in our clinic in Shepparton however may on occasion be provided in other community-based clinics as deemed appropriate in a Community Health model and according to local need.
