Complex Liability Claims Specialist
This is a unique opportunity to excel in a diverse and challenging role, where you will manage complex General Liability claims end to end, including General Liability and Employment Practices Liability. You will be part of a dedicated team of experienced liability insurance experts who will support your development and learning.
You will add value to your team by interpreting policy wording accurately, providing recommendations on indemnity, liability, quantum, reserving and settlement, managing claims of varying complexities, and liaising with third-party providers. You will also settle claims within client service instructions, company guidelines, and delegated authority.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Your strong time management and organizational skills will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking an individual with experience in liability claims, public liability, and/or professional indemnity claims, or general insurance claims management experience. A degree in Law or an insurance qualification related to Insurance is desirable, as is industry-specific ANZIIF qualifications.

Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a broad portfolio of complex liability claims end to end.
* Interpreting policy wording and applying it accurately.
* Providing recommendations on indemnity, liability, quantum, reserving, and settlement.
* Managing claims of varying complexities.
* Liaising with third-party providers, including solicitors, loss adjusters, and barristers.
* Settling claims within client service instructions, company guidelines, and delegated authority.
* Attending mediations where applicable.
About you:
* Australian Citizenship is essential.
* Experience in liability claims, public liability, and/or professional indemnity claims, or general insurance claims management experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* A degree in Law or an insurance qualification related to Insurance (desirable).
* Industry-specific ANZIIF qualifications (desirable).
