Pure Foods Eggs is Tasmania's premier egg producer, distributing over 3.6 million dozen eggs per year. We are passionate about great Tasmanian products, and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality produce. We supply to retailers including Coles, Woolworths and IGA, making sure that more Tasmanian's wake up to a Pure Foods egg than any other brand. We are committed to our local community and support numerous not-for-profit organisations across the state.
We are seeking a capable, reliable and proactive Process Worker/Truck Driver to join our Kings Meadows team. The primary purpose of this role is to process and pack eggs in preparation for dispatch to customers, and to provide truck driving support to our distribution team as needed. This is a casual position with an anticipated requirement of 2-3 shifts per week with the potential for additional hours for absenteeism and annual leave coverage.
About you:
You are physically fit
You are able to work effectively as part of a team in a way that is aligned to the organisation's values and desired outcomes
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are organised with an attention to detail
You are able to work with minimal supervision and display initiative
You have sound verbal, writing, reading and math skills (at grade 10 or above level)
You are experienced in operating basic machinery or are willing to learn
You enjoy looking for efficient ways of working without compromising quality or safety
Key tasks include:
Operation of egg grading, egg collecting, sorting and packing machinery
Manual handling tasks such as box assembly, lifting egg cartons & egg fillers, and use of pallet jacks
Participation in daily and weekly grading floor cleaning programs
Delivery & collection of sales orders, raw product and packaging in a safe and timely manner
Loading and unloading of truck
Stock rotation
Compliance to workplace safety standards according to WHS&W guidelines, company policies, and auditing requirements
Current truck license - a medium rigid truck licence is a necessity
Forklift license would be advantageous
Experience working in a food processing environment would be beneficial

Work hours range between 8.00am to 6.00pm Mon-Fri, however these hours can vary depending on the needs of the organisation and the successful candidate.
