Our Training Officers are responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessing competency-based skills directly to our in-store workforce. Job Description What you'll be doing: Planning, designing, and delivering engaging and effective training tailored to the specific needs of the remote Indigenous workforce.Conducting assessments of employees to ensure their competency in performing tasks according to relevant training packages.Collaborating with store managers to identify skill gaps and training needs within the in-store workforce.Ensuring training and assessment processes comply with applicable legislation and industry standards.Promoting a safety-focused culture in all areas of the workplace. Desired Skills and Experience What we're looking for: TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or able to obtain)SIR40316 Certificate III in Retail Operations (or able to obtain)Hold (or able to obtain) Working with Children Check and National Police CertificateMinimum two years' experience in a training role with proven experience as a trainer and assessorExperience working effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and social backgroundsWillingness and ability to travel to remote communities for up to a week at a time when required. These short mobilisations will constitute the majority of your time in this role.Experience using student management system VETtrak is highly advantageousHLTAID01 Provide First Aid Certification or the ability to obtainSIT20322 or SIT30622 Hospitality Certification or the ability to obtainSITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of Alcohol Certification or the ability to obtainFlexibility to adapt to a changing retail environmentPrevious experience engaging with Indigenous communities is highly regarded but not essential.People who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander are encouraged to apply.
