Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Position Classification: Nurse Manager Grade 3

Remuneration: $143,851.1 - $146,522.64 per annum

Hours Per Week: 38

What You'll Be Doing

As the After-Hours Nurse Manager, you will represent the hospital leadership team outside standard business hours, ensuring operational efficiency and clinical safety across the organisation.

* Oversee patient flow, bed management and staffing to maintain safe access to care
* Lead and support nursing and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
* Manage and elevate incidents, including internal and external emergencies
* Provide expert clinical and operational advice to support decision making
* Promote a positive safety culture aligned with NSW Health performance standards
* You will bring advanced leadership capability, sound clinical judgement and the confidence to lead during periods of high demand and change.

Essential Criteria
* Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation
Selection Criteria
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in management or working towards attainment in same, or extensive clinical experience in the field that demonstrates ability to perform the role.
* Recent and extensive management experience in senior nursing and/or health management within an acute care Health facility
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of patient flow
* High level computer literacy including working knowledge of staff scheduling and patient flows systems
* Demonstrated ability to manage the utilisation of nursing resources in an effective and financially responsible manner
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, (written/oral which includes ability to complete briefs and proposals) conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrate understanding of current issues impacting on the nursing profession.
