The Orthopaedic Group WA is a state-of-the-art orthopaedic practice comprising 13 surgeons across multiple subspecialties, supported by three allied health staff, 13 secretaries/PAs and two reception staff. We are centrally located in Nedlands, offering exceptional facilities and an excellent workplace culture.
About the Role
In this position, you will work alongside a Senior Specialist Medical Secretary, providing high-level administrative support to Mr Ryan Lisle, whose subspecialty includes knee, shoulder and sports surgery.
You will be part of a supportive team environment and will also assist with general team relief as required. Patient care is central to everything we do, and the successful applicant will demonstrate a kind, professional and empathetic approach to patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for patients, hospitals, and healthcare professionals
* Coordinate the surgeon's schedule, including appointments, diary management and theatre bookings
* Maintain and update patient records
* Oversee clinics to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
* Manage MVIT, Workers' Compensation, DVA and Medicare matters
* Provide general administrative support, including reviewing patient correspondence
* Travel to a satellite clinic as required
Essential Criteria
* Experience in a medical or allied health practice
* Demonstrated commitment to outstanding patient care and service
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
* Reliable, with a strong work ethic
* Excellent written communication and literacy skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong understanding of patient confidentiality
