About the role
As a
Pharmacy Team Leader
, you will play a key leadership role in delivering a high-quality and patient-focused pharmacy service. You will lead and mentor a team of pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure excellence in medication management and compliance with all relevant directives, policies, and guidelines. Working in close collaboration with clinicians and service units, you will act as a trusted point of contact for pharmacy-related matters, helping to optimise clinical outcomes and support safe, cost-effective drug therapy across the organisation.
This position offers the opportunity to shape service delivery through strong leadership, staff development, and innovation. You will provide training, supervision, and performance development to your team, while also contributing to departmental goals through complex and high-level pharmacy practice. Working closely with fellow team leaders and Deputy Directors of Pharmacy, you will uphold Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Standards of Practice, ensuring that legal and professional standards are met. Your leadership will directly support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care that enhances patient wellbeing and strengthens the pharmacy service as a whole.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
* Qualifications and Registration – Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
* Leadership and Collaboration – Proven ability to lead, supervise, and mentor pharmacy and support staff, while fostering strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
* Analytical and Organisational Skills – Highly developed problem-solving, research, and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Professional Knowledge and Adaptability – Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with sound knowledge of professional standards, change management, and a flexible, resilient approach to improving service delivery.
