About the Client
Our client is a global leader in mining operations and operates the worlds largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. These assets include a world-class, integrated network of 15 iron ore mines, four port facilities, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Senior Advisor to support major project activities through the studies and early-works phases. This role will guide HSE best practice across tender evaluations, mobilisation planning, contractor assessments, and early site works. You will also contribute HSE system updates and provide high-level advisory support to programme delivery teams across civil and NPI packages. This is a key role for a proactive safety professional with strong technical capability and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Support studies phase activities, including mobilisation readiness, tender reviews and early works planning.
* Conduct HSE contractor evaluations and contribute to programme risk assessments.
* Review and update IPT System and HSE Iron Ore project documentation.
* Provide subject-matter expertise on HSE compliance, systems, and regulatory requirements.
* Support contract strategy work, identifying HSE synergies and improvement opportunities.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of HSE programs and initiatives.
* Provide expert advice on HSEQ management systems, audit findings, and assurance processes.
* Deliver accurate internal and external HSE reporting, insights, and recommendations.
Skills & Experience
* 46 years experience in Health & Safety advisory roles (major projects preferred).
* Strong background in developing and implementing HSE programs and systems.
* Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
* Experience supporting tender evaluations, contractor reviews, and project risk assessments.
* Ability to provide high-level advice to leadership and operational teams.
* Strong reporting, documentation, and analytical capability.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
