About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail‐focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team on a permanent part‐time basis, working 22.8 to 30.4 hours per week (3–4 days).
This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payment runs and reconciliations, as well as maintaining supplier records and responding to queries. The position also provides backup reception support as required, assisting with phone coverage, greeting visitors and supporting front‐of‐house operations.
Key responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up outstanding items
* Maintain supplier master data, including bank details and contact information
* Ensure expenses and invoices comply with company policies and approval limits
* Assist with month‐end close activities, including accruals and reporting
* Respond to supplier queries professionally and promptly
* Support audit requests and provide documentation as required
* Ensure all users utilise the procurement system effectively, offer training, support & assistance when necessary
The successful candidate will have
* Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance support role
* Sound understanding of invoice processing and payment cycles
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident verbal and written communication skills
* Professional phone manner and customer‐focused approach
