Join Vertical Scope Group (VSG) as we are now inviting expressions of interest for Expert, Trusted and Reputable Security** **Professionals at all levels of knowledge and experience from Defence Support Services (DSS) Levels 1-5 (Associate, Practitioner, Advanced Practitioner, Expert, Pre-eminent Advisor) to join our submission for a multi-year, Specialist Security Services panel.
We want high performing, highly experienced professionals that have backgrounds in Engineering, SCEC (Security Construction and Equipment Committee), Acoustic, Building and Specialist Security, that can work across the board to implement the next phase of Australia’s innovative solutions for Defence and National Security.
**Vertical Scope Group** is securing an experienced **Acoustic Consultant** to join our award-winning Qualified Services Division to be included in our submission. If successful, and if you are listed as a named consultant in our submission, VSG will always offer you first choice and opportunity of any work that is released to us.
As an Acoustic Consultant, you will provide advice on design and construction techniques for audio security and assist agencies to select and design suitable audio security treatments.
As an Acoustic Consultant, you will be required to provide acoustic design and advisory services including:
- confirmation of the audio security performance levels, expressed as ‘Weighted Level Difference' (Dw) for assessing audio security as measured in the field and confirming compliance with Dw 35, 40, 45 or 50 as applicable,
- location and general arrangements for effective acoustic security
- acoustic design requirements of building elements including walls, ceiling, doors and windows in order to satisfy the applicable Dw performance,
- acoustic testing in accordance with the applicable standards.
Ideally, you will also possess...
- suitable qualifications as an acoustic engineer, for example, a member of the Australian Acoustical Society, listed in the register for competency in the category architecture and building acoustics.
- Baseline (min.) - TS PV security clearance desirable
- Australian Citizenship is essential
You will also have a sound understanding with all relevant and applicable Acoustic requirements, including:
- (a) AS/NZS ISO 717.1:2004 - Acoustics - Rating of sound insulation in buildings and of
- building elements, Part 1: Airborne sound insulation, and
- (b) AS ISO 140.4-2006, Acoustics - Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of
- building elements, Part 4: Field measurements of airborne sound insulation between
- rooms (ISO 140-4:1998, MOD),
