Primary objective
The Project Coordinator provides project administration services to support the delivery of information and communications technology
projects for agencies and across whole of government.

Context statement
ICT Services provides ICT hardware and software services to client agencies to meet business requirements, this includes end user services
such as the ICT Service Centre, End User Computing, Network Management, Voice and Telecommunications including internet. Within
this, the ICT Services Project Management Office is responsible for the delivery of technology related projects.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Assist the Director with the review and assessment of requests for projects by clients, allocate to Project Managers and inform key

stakeholders.
2. Assist Project Managers throughout the ICT project lifecycle by coordinating stakeholder engagement, documenting project

requirements, and maintaining registers with accurate project records and artefacts.
3. Monitor the progress of all projects under management by the PMO and they comply with procedures and pre-defined work

instructions.
4. Maintain and update Configuration Items to ensure user accounts, computer devices, network devices and other Service Asset and

Configuration Management are compliant.
5. Prepare project completion notices for sign-off from project clients detailing project deliverables met and feedback,
6. Assist the Quality Assurance officer to continually assess the PMO documentation and processes for improvements to initiate

efficiencies and streamline working practices.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level knowledge of project administration policies, procedures and associated methodologies.
2. The ability to understand the range of technical terminology and language associated with the ICT project environment
3. Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision and confidently use sound judgement, initiative, lateral thinking and problem

solving and be systematic in dealing with a range of complex project activities concurrently
4. High level of written skills with the ability to prepare and maintain accurate documentation including comprehensive and succinct

meeting minutes with attention to detail and accuracy.
5. High standards of client focus and proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with IT professionals, agency

management clients and business support staff, service providers, industry and project teams.
6. Strong interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills, with an ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and

communicate with people at all levels in the public sector, industry and the community.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful, and

creative.

Desirable
1. Prior experience in ICT project administration roles.
2. Extensive experience in using a range of software packages including word processing, spreadsheets and other software systems.
3. Tertiary Qualifications in ICT, project, finance or contract administration.
