Contracts Management / Cost Control Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Management / Cost Control Administrator to join our team.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring financial details are clear and contracts are on track from start to finish.
You will work side by side with project managers to make sure deadlines and budgets are met, keep project records organised, stay on top of progress, and share updates with senior leaders along the way.
Responsibilities:
* Manage contractor claims and review variations within your assigned project area.
* Collaborate with the Area Manager to prepare and update monthly financial forecasts.
* Support engineers in preparing contract award documents and handling purchase orders.
* Assist in preparing and submitting project budgets and financial reports.
* Track project progress and provide regular status updates to project managers.
* Monitor and record change events and cost impacts using Aconex Cost.
* Support project managers in coordinating personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project needs.
Your Background:
You will need:
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or Project/Contract Management is preferred.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong working knowledge of engineering environments, ideally within mining, steel, or heavy industry projects.
* A proven ability to manage documentation and support financial and commercial project processes.
* Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Aconex or similar cost/project management tools is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
