The opportunity
Our Public Place Team plays an important role in keeping our public spaces clean and tidy for our community, providing a high quality cleaning service including garbage services, minor maintenance services, and other operational duties to ensure an enjoyable, attractive and safe public place for our community of Port Stephens.
Location and hours
This role is based in the West of our Local Government Area, working across Raymond Terrace, Heatherbrae, Tomago, Seaham and Karuah. This job is perfect for candidates who love an early start and early finish, with shift hours starting at 4:30am and finishing at 1:30pm. There is an option to opt-in to work on a rotating roster for weekend overtime.
Summary of terms
* This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time on a 9-day fortnight
* Hourly Rate Range: $30.82 to $32.35 per hour + 12% superannuation + adverse work conditions allowance + $2,464 retention allowance
* Working weekends? Overtime applies
* You will be based from our Raymond Terrace Depot however, working across all locations in the East of our LGA as listed above.

What we're looking for
* Experience in commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, or housekeeping/grounds maintenance experience
* Ability to work safely using manual handling techniques
* Prior experience using small plant items such as water blasters, sweepers, blowers, mowers, whipper snippers, hedgers
* Current Class C Drivers Licence
