We have a fantastic opportunity to join GOTAFE as a Trainer and Assessor Senior Secondary. In this role you will use your teaching and vocational knowledge and experience to ensure excellent outcomes for learners across VCE-VM subjects (Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Development Skills, and Work Related Skills) and VPC, the communities they are a part of and their future employers.
At GOTAFE you will be able to build meaningful connections with your students due to small class sizes of 10-15 students and experience greater flexibility and autonomy compared to traditional secondary schools. With a commitment to student welfare and academic success, you'll have access to a range of support resources and subject assessment tools to enhance the learning experience. As the successful candidate you will have:
* Victorian Institute of Training (VIT) Registration (preferred) or hold an ITE-accredited qualification (e.g. a Bachelor of Education) and are able and willing to obtain VIT registration
OR;
Currently studying/working towards obtaining an ITE-accredited qualification OR
A professional qualification in any area with experience working in a school environment*
* A current Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE) Qualification preferred.
* Experience in delivering secondary education.
* High level interpersonal skills.
If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:
* A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
* A current Victorian Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
* A current Driver's Licence (Car).
The salary for this position is from L1.1 – L3.5 under the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement.
