The school has a tradition of academic achievement, sporting success, and cultural excellence. 
Narrandera High School offers specialised programs and support services, including an Intervention Centre, Clontarf Academy, Stars Foundation, and Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre (ALEC). 
The school operates two multi-categorical classrooms, with a planned third classroom in 2026, including additional staffing and a Head Teacher position. 
Narrandera High School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, emphasising restorative practices and building positive relationships across the school community. 
The school implements a compressed curriculum model for Stage 6 students, enabling accelerated learning pathways. 
Our HSC results show value-added progress from Year 9 to Year 12, with more than half of Year 12 graduates receiving offers to study a diverse range of courses at various universities.

Specific Selection Criteria In addition to the general selection criteria: Demonstrated excellence in communication and strong organizational/management capabilities, including the capacity to lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the school. 
Proven ability to strengthen a dynamic, school-wide approach to student wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour management to enable every student to connect, succeed, and thrive. 
Demonstrated capacity to build authentic connections with students, parents, staff, the community, and the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group to enhance educational, social and cultural outcomes for a diverse student group. 
Proven ability to lead and support staff, students, and families with a transparent understanding of the principal's role and the confidence to assume leadership as required. 
General Selection Criteria 1. 
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. 
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with ability to lead inclusive teaching and learning programs3. 
Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams4. 
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff and parents5. 
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively to support teaching and learning6. 
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is required.
