About the role
Join the Women's and Children's Hospital as a laboratory technician and contribute to both technical and administrative aspects of routine clinical and research functions of the Gastroenterology Laboratory.
Key duties of the role
* Contributing to the maintenance of standards of excellence in both the technical and administrative aspects of the routine clinical and research functions of the Gastroenterology Clinical Laboratory Service.
* Providing a Breath Hydrogen testing service under the direction of the Senior Medical Scientist.
* Contributing to the Gastroenterology Clinical Laboratory Service quality assurance programs as well as the immediate and reliable communication of routine diagnostic results to the appropriate medical personnel.
* Contributing to team atmosphere where communication, initiative and pro‑active qualities are essential.
Skills and Experience
* A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
* Experience in medical technical laboratory disciplines.
* Experience in collating and interpreting data.
