About the Role
Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. Balmain Hospital is committed to providing the highest standards of healthcare to meet individual needs.
This position is responsible for working together as part of the Environmental Services Department to ensure Balmain Hospital is well maintained, clean and presentable for staff, patients and visitors. Specifically, Hospital Assistants are required to provide an efficient and effective cleaning, portering and waste disposal services for all clinical and non-clinical areas.

Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a healthcare facility or in commercial/industrial cleaning role.
* Knowledge of manual handling and infection control principles.
* Demonstrated commitment to working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
