Job Description
Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client's overall objectives. Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters. Planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues. Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
Manage day‐to‐day activities of junior project resources who will be located remotely. Manage multiple contractors concurrently, delivering construction works within a live hospital environment, without disrupting day‐to‐day operational services. Foster an integrated project team environment.
Key Tasks
* Contract administration
* Governance reporting
* Ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues
* Monitoring and advising on project finance and project programme
* Managing disruption which will impact operational services
* Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports
Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Experience of leading project management commissions for medium, large, sized construction projects in healthcare sector
* A minimum of 6-11 years project management experience, preferably gained within the above environment
* Good knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
* Design, management or construction experience gained within the general construction environment
* People management experience, particularly in the context of managing a project management team delivering a project
* A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review
