Role: Business Development Manager
Location: South Yarra, VIC
Package: $85k–$105k base + super + quarterly commission (Uncapped OTE $150k+)

The Opportunity

This role is for a Business Development Manager who wants to join a scaling distribution function.

We have spent the last few years steadily growing our system and client base, proving that Ploomo works across diverse industries. With strong outcomes and repeat usage behind us, we are now actively scaling the business and building a dedicated team to bring Ploomo to a wider market.

You’ll be part of the initial cohort of BDMs responsible for:

Scaling a Proven Engine: Distributing a model that has been stress-tested across diverse industries and geographies.

Pure Commercial Execution: Owning the end-to-end sales process without being pulled into delivery or recruitment execution.

Contributing to the Blueprint: Feeding market signal back into messaging and positioning as the distribution function scales.

What You’ll Do

Identify & Engage: Build relationships with organisations that hire and grow teams regularly and are open to a more structured, system-led approach.

Diagnose & Position: Run discovery conversations that surface how decisions are currently made and where outcomes break down.

Establish Partnerships: Lead the commercial process from first engagement through to long-term, high-value relationships.

Maintain Pipeline Discipline: Keep CRM data clean, progression objective, and decisions explicit — progress, close, or disqualify.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open to candidates from recruitment, HR SaaS, HR advisory, or adjacent B2B services. What matters is your ability to navigate complex commercial conversations and your appetite to operate inside a system that’s designed to scale.

Must-haves:
Experience selling recruitment services, HR SaaS, HR advisory, or similar solutions to SMEs or mid-market organisations.
Strong commercial instincts and the ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
Bias toward action and comfort operating independently within a clear structure.
High personal accountability and a focus on quality over volume.

Nice-to-haves:
Experience converting transactional services into retainers or subscription-style relationships.
Strong interest in sales operations and CRM discipline.
