Job Overview & Responsibilities

* Sampling and analysis of oil, gas and other critical systems as outlined in the offshore analysis plan.
* Provide technical support and information to onshore and offshore operations teams during normal operations.
* Maintain daily logs as per the client system and produce written and verbal handovers to ensure continuity of work.
* Generate technical reports and report to the client in a timely manner.
* Day‐to‐day management of chemical use and stock levels to ensure optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
* Timely ordering of chemicals required for process operation and maintaining adequate stock levels.
* Logistical management of temporary chemical injection systems including pumps and skids, ensuring accurate on‐board equipment accounting for cost effectiveness and timely back‐load.
* Logistical management of all chemicals on‐board, ensuring correct location transfer and timely back‐load as per client procedures.
* Investigate and rectify issues with chemical injection systems according to client procedures.
* Create maintenance requests using the client maintenance reporting system.
* Day‐to‐day management and ordering of laboratory consumable stock levels and equipment.
* Re‐calibrate and re‐certify all laboratory equipment.
* Complete any training directed by the client to expand competency and conduct training of asset personnel to ensure adequate sampling cover; maintain records of trained personnel.
* Demonstrate personal commitment to health, safety and the environment by actively participating and supporting all necessary operations meetings and new initiatives and improvements.
* Comply with the client's culture and operating procedures, including toolbox talks and risk assessments; carry out emergency response duties as required.
* Evaluate process issues and provide recommendations for improvement through liaison with the onshore support team.

Safety Responsibilities

* Adhere to company safety policies, procedures and rules and follow safe work practices.
* Participate in team consultation meetings to discuss workplace safety in the department.
* Report hazards promptly and participate in risk assessments; assist in identifying control measures to eliminate or minimise injury.
* Wear personal protective equipment as required for various tasks and report any worn or defective equipment.
* Participate in OHS activities such as training, inspections, investigations and OHS meetings as required.

Job Requirements

* A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
* Solid experience servicing a technical product in the oil, gas and utility chemical market.
* A strong safety focus and the ability to work in a multinational, multidisciplinary team while being self‐motivated and a self‐starter.
* Business acumen and technical skills that allow providing value to customers.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities.
* Personal drive and tenacity for sales growth, quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
* A valid and full driving licence.
