The Opportunity – Based in Mackay
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for a Mackay-based role at a coal terminal, working on the planning and coordination of fixed plant infrastructure maintenance.
This is a local position offering a standard Monday to Friday roster, with the flexibility of a Monday to Thursday arrangement for the right person. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to be home each night while contributing to a key local operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain effective maintenance plans for fixed plant infrastructure.
* Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient execution.
* Use the onsite CMMS to manage maintenance work orders and track asset performance.
* Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and optimise scheduling.
* Monitor maintenance data and identify areas for improvement across plant reliability and performance.
* Ensure all planning activities comply with site safety, environmental, and operational standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Solid experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably within mining, ports, or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and operations.
* Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
* High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
* A commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
* Valid Australian work rights.
