The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Change Manager to support the delivery of contemporary strategic NPI policy and capability reform initiatives. This role enables and embeds effective change across the NPI Branch, preparing leaders, teams and stakeholders to successfully adopt and sustain policy, capability and organisational reforms. The role works collaboratively across internal stakeholders, police agencies, other Commonwealth agencies and industry nationally.

Working as part of a small multidisciplinary team, the Business Change Manager will lead and embed change management capability across the NPI Branch. The role supports both business as usual and project based change, working closely with senior leaders, project teams and stakeholders to ensure change is effectively planned, communicated, adopted and sustained.

Success in this role is demonstrated by high levels of stakeholder readiness, adoption and sustained change across the NPI Branch, with reforms embedded into everyday ways of working.

Role responsibilities

* Embed and enable structured change management capability across the NPI Branch;
* Plan and deliver change strategies supporting both business as usual and reform initiatives;
* Prepare and support stakeholders through targeted change communications and engagement activities;
* Design and deliver change related training and capability uplift activities;
* Support and coach senior leaders to effectively sponsor and lead change;
* Integrate change management activities into project and work plans in alignment with the ACIC Change Framework;
* Monitor and report on change readiness, risks, issues and adoption outcomes;
* Define, measure and track change success metrics to support sustained outcomes;
* Manage and develop an APS6 Business Change Analyst.

Your skills and capabilities
* You are a senior change practitioner who enables and embeds effective change across complex environments. You prepare organisations and stakeholders for change by designing and delivering clear, practical and targeted change strategies, communications and training;
* You support leaders and teams to understand, sponsor and lead change, building readiness and commitment at all levels. You communicate clearly and confidently, producing high quality change artefacts, presentations and briefings for senior audiences;
* You demonstrate a strong track record delivering sustainable change, monitoring adoption and adjusting approaches to ensure intended outcomes are realised. You work independently under broad direction, applying sound judgement to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity;
* You collaborate and build trust, working constructively with stakeholders to support successful adoption and long term capability uplift.

Eligibility
* Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
* Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
* Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
