Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Adolescent Clinician to join our State-wide Eating Disorders Service team. As part of this rewarding role, you will provide individual support to adolescent clients with diagnosed eating disorders and their family/supports, as well as delivering non-discriminatory treatment and support that is sensitive to the social and cultural values of the client.
About the Role
* Undertake a clinical caseload and provide individualized care to adolescent clients with a diagnosed eating disorder and their family/supports
* Provide consultation and assistance to identified teams and organizations to meet the mental health care needs of clients
* Conduct assessments and plan recovery-focused services for individual clients and their family/supports, including bio-psycho-social assessment and mental state examination, including risk assessment of all clients referred to the service
Key Responsibilities
* Must be highly motivated and able to engage with clients who have extremely high service needs
* Skilled in applying cognitive, behavioral, and other evidence-based treatment methodologies
* Experience working with a range of government and non-government agencies
Requirements
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years of post-registration experience
* Experience working with clients diagnosed with an eating disorder and related conditions
* Experience working with children or adolescents and their family/supports
