Job Description
The role of Registered Nurse requires the provision of safe, effective, and appropriate care in an inpatient and outreach environment. The successful candidate will actively participate in promoting and implementing Specialist Palliative Care Services.
* Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patients.
* Plan appropriate care in consultation with patient and multidisciplinary team.
* Timely, complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Registered Nurse authorization to practice by the relevant governing body.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care, hospital or palliative care setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration within a harmonious team.
* Able to critically appraise new clinical situations and environments, planning safe and appropriate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to initiate or be involved in quality improvement projects, utilizing sound planning and evaluation of outcomes.
* Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, evidenced by a personal portfolio.
