The Role and Opportunity:

As a Research and Development (R&D) Graduate Consultant at The Gild Group, you’ll work closely with some of Australia’s most exciting founders, engineers, scientists and innovators - helping them secure vital government funding to accelerate their growth. Your work will make a direct impact on businesses developing cutting-edge technology!

In this role, you’ll draw on your analytical and technical expertise to uncover the stories behind our clients’ innovations, translating complex R&D into clear, compliant claims under the R&D Tax Incentive program. You’ll also contribute to our broader innovation advisory work - identifying new grant opportunities, collaborating on thought leadership pieces, and advising clients on how to position their projects for success.

You’ll be supported by a specialist national team known for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and commitment to helping clients thrive. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful client interaction - and who’s ready to commence their consulting career.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Attend client consultations to identify qualifying R&D activities and expenses.

* Attend technical interviews with client personnel to identify and document R&D projects.

* Prepare technical reports and financial documentation to support funding applications.

* Work closely with clients and their accountants to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

* Keep up to date with changes in R&D tax laws, case law and evolving regulator guidance.

* Government Grant Application support, including assisting with grant applications and review of new/ existing grants as they are announced, or as they become appropriate for our client base.

About you:

We would love to hear from you if you have:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, ICT, Engineering, Science or related field.

* 1 year of relevant professional experience (preferred but not essential).

* Understanding of R&D tax law and government funding programs.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to take ownership of your tasks and work independently or as part of a cohesive team.

Location:

The role is based in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
