Reporting to the Head of Unit, General Surgery and Chief Surgical Resident, some of your duties may involve:
* Undertaking 6 month rotations in Acute Surgical Registrar and a choice of Colorectal, HepatoPancreatoBiliary, Breast & Endocrine or Berri Service Registrar.
* Providing a consultative service to other units as required.
* Arranging x-ray/pathology review sessions.
* Attending unit meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
* Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
* Successful completion of the GSSE.
* Minimum of 3 year post graduate medical experience (PGY3+).
* Working towards application to Surgical Education Training with Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
* Completed at least 12 months of General Surgery.
* Preferably have completed EMSTY, Ccrisp and ASSET course.
* Experience in research and audit work an advantage.
