The Opportunity
As a Clinical Educator, you will support the coordination, development, and delivery of the headspace National Early Career Program for students and new graduates at headspace Bundaberg.
You will be responsible for leading and developing clinical training programs for staff, students and graduates, providing mentorship, co-facilitating tutorial style study groups, participating in advisory groups, research and evaluation activities and community improvement projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the coordination, development and delivery of the Early Career Program for students and new graduates.
Support the field supervision of headspace National graduates seconded to headspace by Youturn centres.
Support the development and delivery of clinical training programs to assist in upskilling students and early career graduates
Co-facilitate study groups, participate in advisory groups, research & evaluation activities, and community improvement projects.
Provide clinical supervision to students and graduates, in partnership with centre staff.
Maintain and build new relationships with relevant universities.

Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse; OR MSW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or eligibility.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience post qualification in the area of youth mental health and be eligible to provide clinical supervision.
Minimum of 3 years direct supervisory experience in the field of youth mental health.
Advanced supervisory practice, including relevant supervisory frameworks specific to discipline. Experience providing interdisciplinary clinical supervision will also be highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to undertake training and supervision activities to support students and new graduates in the headspace centres.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and manage communications and information with staff and private practitioners.
Demonstrated ability to show innovation and flexibility to incorporate contemporary practice and enhance service delivery options to better meet client needs.
Ability to utilise technology to optimise supervision and education across multiple geographically diverse centres.
Other Requirements
Successful applicants will also need to hold a ‘C’ class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
