Government Advisory and Litigation Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our well-regarded Government Advisory team in undertaking merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Partners in a collaborative team, assisting in the supervision of a high-performing practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Developing litigation strategies and preparing statements of issue
* Conducting directions hearings and case conferences
* Managing substantive hearings
* Providing solicitor advocacy at hearings and finalising briefs to Counsel
* Undertaking complex statutory interpretation
To be considered for this role, you will have:
* At least 5+ years post-qualification experience, ideally with experience in government advisory work and litigation
* Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise
* Experience mentoring team members with excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach
