About the Role:
Based in Adelaide and reporting to our Senior Key Account Manager, this autonomous role involves developing and maintaining existing relationships, as well as expanding market share and strategic growth areas. You will be supported by the wider IMI Southern Team including the Melbourne Head Office. Domestic travel is required, with potential international travel for training and global events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assess and validate customer needs proactively, identifying new business opportunities.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, including Distributors, Resellers, OEMs, and End Users.
* Maintain a CRM database with visit and call notes; contribute to sales and budget reviews.
* Prepare customer proposals and quotations per company policies.
* Monitor market activities to provide current intelligence.
* Own customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) and participate actively in the NPS process.
* Attend product and sales training programs and contribute to promotional activities.
About You:
* Strong mechanical aptitude or technical background, preferably in industries such as BMS, PLC, Hydraulic, Pneumatic equipment, including application and system design.
* Proven success in technical, solution-based key account management.
* Commercially savvy with experience delivering customer-focused solutions.
* Goal-oriented, assertive, and a hands-on problem solver, comfortable with remote work.
* Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is preferred.
* Contribute positively to company culture.
