About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an established Finance Manager to support the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant (PSDP) within our Operations & Maintenance Alliance. As a key member of the Alliance leadership team, this highly autonomous position will manage a significant yearly budget and is pivotal to the financial and commercial success of the plant.
This role goes beyond BAU accounting, it's a transformational opportunity that will support the rebuild and improvement of reporting tools and processes. You will lead the delivery of accurate financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting forecasting and analysis that supports informed decision making. You will be accountable for Contractual Finance, understanding the O&M contract to managing invoicing, cost recharge mechanisms and client reporting. You will drive commerciality by working with the PSDP leadership team to improve margins and identify opportunities to optimise the contract baseline.
In addition, you will serve as the primary financial interface with the client, Alliance partners, and internal stakeholders, from site level operators to key members of our corporate leadership team, fostering transparency and trust. The role requires a forward-looking approach, impacting both current month performance and long-term completion forecasts
About you
You are tertiary and CA/CPA qualified with at least 10 + years\' experience in senior finance roles and you thrive within a highly autonomous and challenging operational environment.
You may be working in an ASX listed business, global multinational or large infrastructure environment, and your resume can demonstrate deep experience in contractual finance with the proven ability to apply complex contractual terms to commercial outcomes.
Strong technical capability in core finance functions is expected together with exceptional commercial awareness and the drive to lead systems changes. A natural builder of relationships and highly adaptable, you communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, from site teams to executives.
