Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for an Educational Leader who is looking to lead and inspire an educational team in their continuous improvement of practice and pedagogy.

This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, located at our Newcastle West Service.

The Educational Leader will develop and implement the Educational Program and Practice in the St Nicholas Service, leading and managing the education team. Responsibilities include:

• Motivating, supporting and mentoring educators through professional conversations, critical reflection, hands‐on learning and professional development opportunities.
• Empowering and supporting staff to build capacity for continuous improvement and to develop engaging, inclusive learning environments for all children.
• Leading the development and implementation of curriculum and ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Working with specialized Pedagogy and Quality Assurance teams to stay abreast of emerging sector trends.
• Managing child protection, mandatory reporting, workplace health and safety, and safeguarding responsibilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive implementation of curriculum.
• Demonstrated leadership skills within Children Services.
• Dedication to developing the future of children.
• Understanding of National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting, Workplace Health and Safety issues.

• Recognised Early Childhood Teaching Degree (as identified by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority) or an approved Diploma level qualification for the purposes of the national law and regulations for education and care services.
• Child protection qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
• Working with Children Check verification number.
